This experiment demonstrates that repairing Apple electronics is a dumb idea. Not because devices should not be repaired, but because Apple will make it as hard as possible to do that, so why are you bothering to repair a Mac or an iDevice when under that expensive material, there are cheap (or expensive??) parts which will easily break when someone holds their phone that way, or in some other way that Apple’s UX designers didn’t specify?
